Welcome aboard!

A journey through an artist's visual universe, a musical interpretation of her works, and a live concert.

For one Navigation, Bathyscaphe becomes a space for visual exploration, listening, and encounter — bringing together the work of Audrey Mérigaud and two musical proposals that engage in dialogue with her drawings.

Audrey's exhibition runs throughout the day and evening, filling the space with her universe. Her work becomes the visual landscape of the gathering, with an opening reception inviting everyone to discover it from the very start.

At 8:00 PM, three of these works will be musically interpreted by Sub Altern, a way of entering more deeply into Audrey's universe through sound.

The evening concludes at 9:00 PM with a concert by Jean-Marc Foussat & JJ Duerinckx.

From these haunted materials emerge trembling drones and spectral textures — music that moves like a presence you sense before you hear. A sound world where nothing is fixed, and the listener is invited to disappear into the dark

Audrey Mérigaud

Audrey Mérigaud was born in 1988 in Nantes. After having finished a preparatory class in an art school of Bayonne, she moved to Bruxelles where she started an illustration course. She graduated in 2011, and finished her studies by a master at the ERG. Her speciality is cynical humor: she often expresses it in a symbolic way, targeting the inner core of situation. She finds her imagination into banality and daily. At first, Audrey's work can seem confusing. But it certainly brings you to a deep reflexion about it, which then uncovers the comical side hidden behind the picture. She introduces you to a complex world, filled of strange characters, maybe without head.

Jean-Marc Foussat & JJ Duerinckx

Two breaths meet and open a passage to elsewhere. Jean-Marc Foussat — analog AKS synthesizer, voice and toys — and JJ Duerinckx, aka Maurice Charles Jj — sopranino and baritone saxophones, effects and voice — shape a music that is entirely improvised in the present moment. Between breath and electricity, fragile melodies and sound textures, their music unfolds like a waking dream. It moves through landscapes that are sometimes intimate, sometimes elemental, with cinematic resonances that invite each listener to imagine their own story. Here, sound texture does not exclude melody, just as melody does not exclude noise: it is all a matter of listening, balance, and precision of expression. Their latest album, Tilff Concert, recorded in December 2025 with Éric Therer as a guest, was released on the FOU Records label.
